Congress member reacts to FDA investigation into euthanasia drug found in dog food
WASHINGTON (ABC7) —
A Congress member is reacting to an investigation by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) after a euthanasia drug was found in a major national dog food brand.
ABC7 News exposed that the euthanasia drug, pentobarbital, was in the dog food.
Rep. Marcy Kaptur, D-Ohio, has pushed for accurate food labeling for pets and people for years. Kaptur is pushing the industry to be open about what's in the product.
