A man reported to police that he was attacked and robbed outside the Sheraton Hotel near BWI Thurgood Marshall Airport early Thursday.

The man told police that he ordered an Uber and he was given a ride from Baltimore to the hotel at 1110 Old Elkridge Landing in Linthicum Heights, according to a statement from Anne Arundel County Police.

When the man was getting out of the car at about 12:20 a.m., the driver argued with him about payment for the ride. During the argument, the driver and a woman in the car attacked him, police say.

The man was stabbed and robbed of his cell phone. He got away and called for help. He was taken to Shock Trauma with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police have not confirmed whether or not the driver was an actual Uber driver, but they are investigating.
