Beautiful sunny Sunday on the way for the D.C. area
WASHINGTON (ABC7) —
Plan for another beautiful day around the DMV and for the Delmarva beaches. With dew point levels in check, a very comfortable air mass overhead will allow for excellent outdoor activity conditions. Highs will range from the lower to middle 80s with abundant sunshine. Added heat tomorrow will make it feel like a more typical July day with highs in the upper 80s to near 90 degrees.
By Tuesday, temperatures will be in the lower 90s. An approaching cold front could spark an isolated storm or two late in the day and into Wednesday, but no widespread rain or severe weather is expected.
The StormWatch7 Team is monitoring Tropical Storm Chris which is situated off the North and South Carolina coastline. This system is forecast to become a hurricane over the next 48 hours. However, latest forecast models keep it offshore with the biggest impact in the form of high surf and dangerous rip currents along the eastern seaboard.
