5th grader receives heroism award for saving kindergartner from getting hit by a car (ABC7)

An act of bravery was honored Tuesday in Montgomery County.

Last April, 11-year-old Jarius Taylor, a safety patrol volunteer in Rockville, saved 6-year-old Ryan Meisch from getting hit by a car as he was racing to get on his school bus.

Montgomery County Police honored Taylor with a special award for heroism.
