More than 27 million people have voted early in the 2018 midterm elections, according to ABC News.

After early voting ended Thursday in Maryland, almost 17 percent of eligible voters had cast their ballots, more than double the number who voted early in the 2014 midterms.

Virginia and DC showed similar increases.
