Police: Officer involved in crash in Prince William County; condition of victims unknown

    A Prince William County Police officer was involved in a car crash in Bristow Thursday night.

    The crash happened at Piper Lane and Nokesville Road at around 8:30 p.m., according to police. The crash involved two cars, one being a police officer.

    The officer, according to authorities, has been extricated from his car. There has been no word of the severity of his injuries.

    This is the same intersection that Prince William County Police motorcycle officer was killed back in December 2012. The officer, 35-year-old Chris Yung - a seven-year veteran of the department, died after responding to a separate accident.
