WASHINGTON (ABC7) — About a half-dozen bus shelters have been damaged between the Congress Heights and Southern Avenue stops.
Although the shelters serve Metro buses, Metro tells ABC7 the District's Department of Transportation is responsible for maintenance and repairs.
ABC7 News contacted DDOT Thursday to find out when the glass would be reinstalled.
A DDOT spokesperson told ABC7 News they just learned of the vandalism to the shelters. DDOT explained that media corporation Clear Channel is in charge of every bus stop shelter throughout the District, and there is no timetable on repairs.
