Amy Aubert joined the ABC7/WJLA-TV and WJLA 24/7 team as a reporter and multimedia journalist in January 2016.
Before coming to the D.C. area, Amy worked just up the road in Baltimore as an investigative reporter at WMAR. During her time there, she covered everything from the April 2015 riots in the city, to extensive wait times at the VA Medical Center, to a mold investigation within a local school district.
Amy knew since she was about 10 years old that she wanted to be a reporter. She used to turn the kitchen table into a "news desk" and take turns with her sisters filming and reporting. Amy is thrilled to be living her dream working as a reporter in the D.C. area.
Amy grew up in West Chester, Pa. and is a proud Nittany Lion! While at Penn State, Amy had internships at NBC10 in Philadelphia, WJAC-TV in Johnstown and The Comcast Network. She also served as the President of Penn State's chapter of RTNDA.
Prior to working in Baltimore, Amy worked as a reporter and filled in on the anchor desk at WRIC-TV in Richmond. Amy started her career a long way from her hometown, working as a weekend anchor and reporter in Macon, Ga.
In her free time, Amy loves running, doing DIY projects, meeting new people, and spending time with her husband, Dane, and their dog, a rescue pup named Nittany.
