Erin Hawksworth was originally born in Vancouver, British Columbia and grew up in Seattle.
She graduated from Arizona State University and attended the Washington Journalism Semester program at American University.
Hawksworth got her start working behind-the-scenes for NBC Sports in Athens, Greece for 2004 Summer Games.
As soon as she returned, Hawksworth packed up her stuff and moved to Grand Junction, Colorado where she began her on-air career at KJCT-TV.
Since then, Hawksworth has gone on to work as both a news and sports reporter and anchor on a global, national and local level. She has appeared on CNN, Rogers Sportsnet in Canada, WFAA-TV in Dallas, WFXT-TV in Boston and KCPQ-TV in Seattle.
Hawksworth has also held jobs outside of TV where she worked as a nanny, dental assistant, sales associate, shopping network guest host and she even dabbled in a little acting where she played a mother in a Mr. Clean commercial and a news anchor in a series on the History Channel. Erin was a Junior Olympic swimmer and swam for Eastlake High School in the Washington State Championships. Her favorite athletes are Michael Jordan, Charles Barkley, Ken Griffey Jr. and Bo Jackson. Friday, Above the Rim and As Good as It Gets are her favorite movies. In her free time Erin enjoys working out and spending time with her Shih Tzu named Boss.
